Miniature

Charley Parkes attends a museum for lunch, but finds the cafeteria is closed. Speaking to a security guard, he discovers a miniature dollhouse exhibit is located in a quiet corner of the building. Heading over to the dollhouse, he finds a small doll named Alice who he sees playing the piano, though the security guard insists there is no mechanism to operate the doll. When Charley is fired at work due to his continued lonesome nature, he takes to visiting the museum where he becomes engrossed in the events of the dollhouse, though this begins to cause problems with his home-life and people questioning his sanity.

The Jungle

Alan and Doris Richards are in Africa where Alan's engineering company are constructing a new city. However, the site is on sacred burial grounds and the discover of artefacts buried in the ground is believed be an attempt to halt the construction. The threat of black magic being used against him is also dismissed. Doris brings a number of items back from the trip which irritate her husband who is against believing in rituals. Upon returning to New York, Alan begins to experience strange occurrences.

The Mighty Casey

The Hoboken Zephyrs are a mediocre basbeall team in the national league. At a pre-season trial, they are approached by a professor introducing them to left-handed pitcher Casey. Impressing at the trial, the professor reveals that Casey is actually a robot developed by himself, though this revelation does nothing to stop to the signing of a contract. The introduction of Casey to the team leads to a major performance improvement, though problems mount when the league commissioner suggests that Casey is not eligible to play due to a lack of a heart.

Ring-a-Ding Girl

Barbara "Bunny" Blake is a movie star living in Hollywood though preparing to leave for a filming job in Rome. She receives a ring from her hometown fan club in Howardville, Virginia. Recalling how the town helped her to become what she has, she looks into the ring and sees a vision of her sister Hildy imploring her to come home, which has her set about making an impromptu visit. Arriving in time for the annual founder's day picnic, Bunny realises that she is in the town for a reason - to save it and its people.

Mute

A German-immigrant family sign up to a secret society of people who are capable of telepathy to communicate with other members. The group set about shunning contact with outsiders, with Frau and Holger Nielsen signing their daughter Ilse up to be part of the group. However, ten years later a fire takes hold of the building where they live leaving now twelve year-old Ilse the only one alive. She is taken in by police officer Harry who along with his wife Cora struggle to handle a child who can not communicate with them while also dealing with how to find any remaining family she has.

Black Leather Jackets

Three young men named Steve, Fred, and Scott who dress as motorcyclists arrive in town, and move into a house next door to Ellen and her father. Ellen is soon attracted to Scott which angers her father, while the three men are considered odd by others. Scott also has problems with his new relationship causing problems with Steve and Fred who believe he is being distracted. Scott eventually confesses to Ellen that the three are aliens who have moved to Earth to prepare for the expansion of their race onto the planet.

A Quality of Mercy

Set in August 1945 and the closing days of World War II, a platoon are attempting to hit a cave where Japanese soldiers are holed up, badly injured and sick. New arrival Second Lieutenant Katell takes charge of the platoon and believing he has something to prove, demands the group head into potential trouble to wipe out the Japanese the following morning. However, Katell finds himself transported to being in charge of the Japanese platoon, and discovers what the near-future have in wait.

Where Is Everybody?

A man wakes up with no recollection of who he is or how he got on the road he is walking down. Arriving at a small diner, he finds nobody though jukebox continues to play a record and a fresh pot of coffee is steaming. Heading into the nearby small town of Oakwood, the man continues to find no people about besides a mannequin he initially believes is a person. Becoming more anxious at the situation, he tries to settle himself by watching a war movie at the local cinema and comes to realise that he was himself a member of the U.S. Air Force.

A Nice Place to Visit

Thug Rocky Valentine is shot by a police officer after robbing a pawn shop, though he regains consciousness seemingly unharmed by the encounter and is greeted by a genial elder named Pip. Pip explains he has been sent to help Rocky in any way he wishes, which results in Rocky demanding large amounts of money, a fancy apartment, attractive women, and the ability to win everytime at the casino. However, a month after gaining the ability to have anything he wants, Rocky finds the situation somewhat boring and finally discovers where he is.

In His Image

Alan Talbot is awaiting a subway train, when he is approached by an evangelist who won't leave him alone, resulting in him hearing a strange clicking before throwing her under an oncoming train and fleeing the scene. Heading to see his fiancée Jessica Connelly, he seemingly has no recollection of the murder he has just committed. Setting off on a trip, Alan visits the graveyard where his parents are sited, and comes across the tombstone of a Walter Ryder which triggers a deep-seated memory of the true background of his life.
